Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains how Veritronixs Technologies Private Limited collects and uses personal data on veritronixs.com, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile number (optional), institution (optional), state, GSTIN and billing address (optional, for invoices) and a securely hashed password (Argon2). We never store your password itself.
- Payment records: plan, amount, date and the gateway's transaction ID. Card, UPI and bank details are collected by Razorpay or Stripe, not by us.
- Security logs: IP address, browser type and time of sign-ins, licence activations and computer changes. We use these to block attacks and to show you your recent account activity.
- Messages you send through the contact form.
Lab data
The modules run in the VeriAI Studio software on your own computer. Datasets and work you load into a lab stay on your computer and are not uploaded to our servers unless a feature clearly says so.
Licence activation
When you activate or refresh your licence, the software sends us your licence key, the computer name you see in your dashboard, the operating system, the software version, an identifier for the computer and a public key the software creates. We store only a one-way hash of the identifier. When you move your licence to another computer, we email a one-time code to you; we store only a hash of it. We use this to limit each licence to its allowed number of computers and to show you where it is active.
How we use it
To run your account, give you access to the labs in your plan, process payments, send service emails (verification, receipts, password resets), keep the Service secure and answer your questions. Product update emails are sent only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
OriginCheck
Documents you check with OriginCheck are read into memory, analysed and then discarded. We do not store the text, the file or its name; we keep only how many characters you checked each day, for the daily allowance. If you turn on online search, only short phrases (about 12 words each) are sent to the sources you choose, such as Wikipedia, Crossref, OpenAlex, DOAJ, Europe PMC and arXiv. The reference checker sends only the reference entries to Crossref.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security (CSRF) cookie. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
To show the visitor count at the bottom of the site, we count each visitor once per day. No cookie is used and no IP address is stored; only the daily total is kept.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, email delivery, Razorpay, Stripe), or when the law requires it.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile; payment records are kept in anonymised form for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can access and correct your data from your account page, delete your account at any time, and contact us to request a copy of your data or raise a concern.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with Argon2, sign-in is protected against brute-force attempts, and lab files are served only to signed-in users with the right plan.
